Covenant Takes State in Art 6/20/2010
The Covenant School continues the tradition of excelling at the TAPPS State Art Competition having won first place four of the last five years.
Upper School Art Department Head, Libby Albritton, has contributed to the success and growth of the program and encouraged students in their creative endeavors from the beginning. Gary and Kay Koerner (founding members of the school) hired Mrs. Albritton to start the art program with 7th-9th grade in 1996 with a budget that could buy pencils, paper, markers and scissors. By 2000, the program expanded to 7th-12th grade and students were able to enter their first TAPPS art competition. They received 3rd place that year.
Since then, The Covenant School has won state championships in 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008 and most recently 2010! Covenant students have also won ribbons in the Young American Art Competition.

 Congratulations Class of 2010! 6/8/2010
On Saturday, May 22, The Covenant School community gathered at The Church of the Incarnation for the Commencement ceremony honoring the Class of 2010. This graduating class is a special group of students who have faced the loss of fellow classmate, Carson Leslie, creating a special bond within the class. From the Senior Memories, Salutatorian and Valedictorian speeches, and Character Sketches given by Upper School faculty members, it was evident that this class is anything but ordinary.
With a class size of just 18 graduates this class represents a wide spectrum of gifts and talents as demonstrated by their total scholarship offerings in excess of $2 million! In addition, the Class of 2010 has been accepted to 42 colleges and universities across the country. Also, eight members of the class were inducted into The Covenant Society. Membership in the Society is established by attendance at Covenant for 13 years beginning as Explorers (Kindergarten).
Best wishes to the graduates of the Class of 2010 in their continuing studies at the university level. It is with honor that Covenant commends these graduates who are 100% college bound. Congratulations Class of 2010!
